Our Rules to Live By ...
Rules of the Realm!

The rules listed on this page are to be followed at all times whenever you are playing as a member of Legacy Realm, no matter what game you are playing. If these rules are not followed, one warning will be given to you. If the behavior in question continues, you shall no longer retain the right to call yourself a member of Legacy Realm and will never enter the gates again (dramatic pause) :)

The most important rule!

2. NO cheating in any form! This includes the use of any outside programs to artificially enhance game play or character attributes. Any form of "bug exploitation" is prohibited. If you are uncertain about an item's legitimacy or have any questions concerning legit game play, please contact a member of the Table or your Rank Advisor.
3. Whenever possible, use the protection of a password while gaming.
4. NO player killing (pk). It is forbidden to purposely kill another member or alliance member while in a game. Dueling or any other type of pvp (player vs. player) competition (i.e., Quake or Unreal Tournament, etc.) is the exception to this rule and is permitted as long as the terms are agreed upon by all parties prior to the competition. Also, a non-participating witness is recommended to be present (if dueling ("Diablo" style).
5. Refrain from excessive use of profanity while in games or in a chat environment. This includes any form of unprovoked harrassment (i.e., spamming, nuking, name calling, abusive, or profane language, etc.) to another member, any other guild (allied or otherwise), alliance member or while in any chat environment (including our guild channel). This behavior will not be tolerated and is grounds for immediate removal as a member of Legacy Realm.
6. You are allowed to be a member of another guild as long as the other guild holds the same ideals and principles as Legacy Realm (legitimate, no pk/no pkk). You ust identify to a Table Member or your Rank Advisor the other guild that you are considering becoming a member of and provide the URL for their website. Failure to provide this information could result in loss of membership to Legacy Realm.
7. Active membership is defined as participating in guild activities (e.g., tournaments, guild games, alliance games, guild meetings, channel sitting, etc.) at least once a month as a minimum requirement.
8. Inactive member status is defined as not participating in any guild event for longer than a 30 day period without contacting either your Rank Advisor or leaving a message on our forum . If you stay in contact, your status remain active. If not, then you will be placed on the List of Inactive Members until you return.
9. Attend Legacy guild meetings whenever possible. Meetings are held every Sunday at 6 PM Eastern Standard Time. The guild votes on any changes of the date or time.
10. Every applicant to Legacy Realm must undergo the sponsorship process. For the only exception, see Rule #12 below. The sponsor must be a full member of Legacy and hold at least the rank of Knight. The NML or his assistant will be the main points of contact for the sponsorship, and will assign a sponsor if they are unable to sponsor the applicant themselves. Upon completion of the one week period, the sponsor has the authority to accept the potential member into Legacy or deny the applicant membership for any reason as seen fit by the sponsor.
11. YOU are responsible for your behavior at all times. Legacy Realm is not to be held accountable for any actions or situations that occur outside the Realm (i.e., a non-sanctioned tournament, visiting other public channels, public games, etc). If you participate in these activities and a situation occurs which places you in jeopardy or you have a personal conflict with another person or channel op, etc., Legacy Realm is not responsible for cleaning up your mess ... YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE!!! If a situation occurs with one of the Alliance guilds or one of its members, quickly and politely extricate yourself from the situation, contact a Table Member or Advisor, explain the details of what has happened, and they will deal with the matter expeditiously with the guild's leaders or arrange a meeting between all parties to discuss openly if needed. Public dishonor or name calling is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
12. If you resign your rank and leave Legacy Realm for any reason, and then wish to return at a later time, you will NOT be expected to go through the sponsorship process. However, your entrance rank will be Page and you will not retain any past awards or recognition that you received with your prior rank. The only exception to this rule would be our Founders.
13. Our guild channel on battle.net is our private home. As a member, you are allowed to invite your friends into the channel as long as you tell the ranking member present in the channel at the time that you wish to bring someone in. Only after you receive their permission may you bring that person into our channel.
14. As a member of Legacy Realm, you are allowed to create "Open", "Closed", or "Hardcore" characters. The question of legitimate open characters should not arise, but if you have any concerns at all, please contact your rank Advisor or a Table or Founding Member. Legacy Realm does not plan on having a "home" realm server, so coordinate with your guildmates when you create the closed character so that you shall all be on the same realm. Closed can only play on the realm in which you create the character and cannot be transferred. Open can be played with other open characters on battle.net or over TCP/IP connections (much like Diablo of old).

NOTE: ANY VIOLATION OF THESE RULES BY A MEMBER OF LEGACY REALM CAN BE REPORTED TO A FOUNDER, TABLE MEMBER OR ADVISOR!
