The following page describes each of the ranks and the responsibilities for each rank in Legacy Realm.
![]() Founders |
The founding members of Legacy Realm comprise this rank. The Founders will have few administrative duties (if they so choose), however, they retain the right to involve themselves in any guild issues that merit their input to provide clarity and decisive action. Founders are allowed to vote on tie-breaking guild issues. Founders will always be approachable for their advice and/or knowledge. The Founders care deeply for Legacy Realm as it is their ultimate vision being brought to life for all the members to participate in and, most importantly, to enjoy being a member of this guild. Founders retain the right to nominate any member for an award (outside of the scope of the Rank Advisor's authority, i.e., the Peerage Pendant award) and to voice their opinion if they feel a member is worthy of a promotion. The Founders of Legacy Realm are: Cyn, Gem, Pendragon and Doby (who is no longer with us but in Spirit). |
![]() The Table |
The Table members make all realm policies, form and maintain alliances with other guilds, and act upon matters that are brought to their attention by the Advisors or Founders. The Table is the final authority in all voting issues for the guild (unless there is a stalemate, then the Founders shall break the tie). Table members discuss and vote on awards for the members and for those members solicited/nominated for promotion. The Table decides whether or not the promotion or award is justified based on reports from other members of Legacy, and are called before the Table as needed. Advisors/Table and Founders are all given the authority to recommend members for promotions and awards. To achieve the rank of Table, you must be voted in by all of the Realm members (majority vote) and this rank is open only through attrition. The current Table Members are: Dr. Olsen, PowerBar, and Ender. |
![]() Advisors |
The Advisors have been assigned the duties of overseeing the remainder of the ranks in order to ensure that our members are promoted and awarded fairly and in a timely fashion. Each of the Rank Advisors shall be in charge of one rank and all of its members. The following members have been appointed to oversee the following ranks:
Legacy Realm's "Hardcore" section for Diablo-II is ran by the following Hardcore Advisors:
NOTE! Some of the Table and Founders are acting as Rank Advisors and Assistants at present time The Rank Advisors are in charge of the members in their rank. The members are instructed to answer to their Rank Advisor and it is understood that the Advisor has full authority to promote and award their members. Assistant Rank Advisors also have the authority to promote and award the members and act for the Rank Advisors when they cannot be present at meetings, or official functions. Each Rank Advisor is encouraged (but not expected) to have a web site for their members. Members of the rank could utilize the web site as a central point of contact for any events being scheduled within Legacy Realm, and for Allied events, for news and rules that pertain to their rank and to perhaps one day even challenge another rank to a tournament! Rank Advisors are authorized to have their own Bulletin Boards for members to post on, and any relevant information to their rank. The web site is completely optional. The promotions and awards that the members receive will be maintained on the Legacy Realm website as a permanent record of member's accomplishments. However, to keep in touch with the members of your rank, you may want to consider it. Also, meetings between Rank Advisors and their members are encouraged as well as meetings between the all of the Rank Advisors and Assistants in order to keep abreast of all promotions and awards and new members. The Advisors are appointed by the Table or Founders and answer only to the Table and Founders. The Advisors are the 'eyes' and 'ears' of the realm. The Rank Advisor is also the member's way of communicating their wants and needs to the upper echelons of the guild and to bring matters before the Table or Founders before it can be voted on at a regular guild meeting. The Advisors are an integral part of Legacy Realm as they are the single body that can influence the decisions to be made by the Table. Their word and integrity speak volumes to the rest of Legacy Realm. |
![]() Knight Valiant |
The Knight Valiant is a hand selected group that have proven their loyalty, honor, and dedication to the realm. The realm's best warriors hold this rank. To achieve this rank, you must first be nominated by an Advisor, Table or Founding member and you must be recognized by the Realm for past achievements represented by awards obtained through your hard work and dedication. You must demonstrate qualities of independent thought, voicing improvements or useful suggestions for Legacy Realm, participate and/or organize guild or allied events, and making your presence known to the Advisors, Table and Founders as a member who can be counted on who and cares for the guild and all of its members. Only the true, loyal, and dedicated shall achieve this rank and the recognition that goes along with being a member of the Knight Valiant. |
![]() Knight Protector |
Knight Protectors are the 'meat' of the Realm. These knights have proven their worth to Legacy Realm by assisting in various duties such as aiding the New Member Liaison in initiating applicants in the ways of Legacy Realm and presenting a strong face to the Realm by participating in guild meetings and allied events, for example. The Protectors know the ways of the Realm and their worth has been proven many times over. As Protectors of the Realm, they keep an ear to the ground and their eyes open at all times for any event or news item that may eventually effect the Realm or our compatriots. |
![]() Knight |
The Knights make up the bulk of the Realm. They have consistently shown their merit to Legacy by attending guild meetings, being helpful and courteous to our initiates, and our full members as well. The Knights always show the utmost respect for those around them and will gladly lend a helping hand if called on by any of the other ranks. The Knights are also able to assist the New Member Liaison in their duties and will be shown the proper gratitude by the Realm for donating their time and guidance to our future Pages. |
![]() Squire |
The Squires have proven themselves knowledgeable about the ways of the Realm, its philosophies and strive to maintain the outward appearance and strength of character required to one day hold the rank of Knight. Squires are responsible and can be counted on to dignify their Realm and uphold its rules and policies. |
![]() Page |
The Pages are the newest members of the Realm that have completed their initiation period. They have come to the gates of Legacy Realm after journies through other lands to find peace within our gates. The future Pages are guided through the initiation process by the NML and their assistant(s) who judge them worthy of character and behavior in order to be welcomed as a full member to Legacy Realm. |
| Armorer | The Armorer is responsible for maintaining a precise inventory of all the equipment that other Realm members donate to the Armory. The Armorer is also responsible for giving out the equipment as needed, and as they deem necessary for the members. A member can solicit the help of the Armorer by contacting them through e-mail, ICQ, the Trading Post Message Board, or if they see the Armorer in the guild channel. The Armorer is encouraged to have an assistant if needed to maintain the webpage for the Armory and to help disburse the equipment if needed. Our present Armorer is Dr. Olsen. NOTE: For Diablo 2--until everyone in the guild is comfortable with the game itself and have built their first characters, Legacy Realm has decided to do any "trading" of items via the Trading Post BB! Until it is decided that we want to continue with the Armory per se, Legacy Realm will utilize the BB instead of an Armorer for the present. This decision is subject to guild vote and can be reinstated at a later date. |
| Alliance Rep | The Alliance Representative is responsible for attending all the Allied Meetings once a week (Mondays at 8 PM EST). The Rep is also responsible for letting Legacy Realm and its members know of any news pertaining to the Alliance, when a new guild is petitioning for admittance into the Alliance by posting on our Forum and giving the web page address for the petitioners, relaying Legacy Realm's position to the other Alliance Reps at the meetings or through e-mail. The Alliance Rep is the SINGLE point of contact for any and all Alliance matters. Normally, a Table member is recommended to hold the position, however, if someone displays qualifications to be an excellent Alliance Rep and is not a Table member, their services can be requested by the Table or Founders. Our Alliance Rep presently is Lady Fianna. |
| New Member Liaison | New Member Liaison (NML) is a very unique and special position. The duties of the New Member Liaison include answering the guild e-mail (sometimes daily) when a new applicant submits a join form from the web page. As New Member Liaison, you are the first impression of Legacy Realm for applicants that wish to join our ranks. Significantly, a person who possesses very high character and the ability to work independently shall be sought for the NML duties and is usually a Table member. The NML is entrusted to carry out the sponsorship program for recruits, and at the end of the week of sponsorship have the ultimate say on whether the applicant is ready for "full" membership status. The NML is trusted to select an assistant to help with the duties of playing with the applicants, and if the workload gets extremely heavy, the NML can ask the Table for a second assistant. This shall be the Sponsorship Team. The team is responsible for playing with, guiding, shaping, and seeing that each and every applicant is afforded the proper time that they need in order to become a full member of Legacy Realm. The NML can also ask that a member of Legacy Realm that is not on the Sponsorship Team to aid with the new recruits. The only qualification is that the member must be the rank of Knight or above in order to sponsor an applicant. The NML is responsible for creating guidelines for his assistants and themselves to explain the sponsorship process and how it works, and what to look for in a recruit, and what to 'raise your eyebrows at' and for making these available via the guild webpage or another source for everyone's use. If the workload becomes very draining on the present NML, he/she can resign their position and a guild election shall be held to fill the vacancy. The NML can make a recommendation for the next NML, however. All in all, one of the most very responsible and extremely important positions within Legacy Realm. The NML is the heart of our Realm. The current NML is PowerBAR. |
