07-18-01: Well, as we all know by now, the Diablo 2 Expansion pack is out and being played by most of us. X-pack, IMHO, is fantastic! The programmers at Blizz deserve KUDOS for all these neat innovations ... makes the game much more interesting and even more fun to play for hours and hours and hours!! Others have been playing on the private Legacy server whiling away hours with UO.
WELCOME to our newest members: IronNova (a.k.a. Kamikaze), and Sefara who plays the original Diablo and is an "Ironman".
06-20-01: WOW! Long time no type! Accordingly, there is much news to report :) First of all, WELCOME to our newest members: Kalisto, Dark.Nemesis, Winter_Wolf, Djurg, OrangesOranges, Pharoah, and Top. A belated and warm welcome to Legacy Realm!
Next, our newest promotions in the Realm go to: Slumber to Knight Valiant (although he is currently visiting the faraway lands of Everquest), Mauso to Knight Protector, Raindamier to Knight. Congratulations to all of you for continuing to be exemplary citizens of the Realm, we thank you heartily.
Lastly, the following members have received the following awards: Slumber was awarded the Guiding Cross, and the Bronze Cross of Honor, Mauso is awarded the Mighty Cross and the Guiding Cross, Raindamier is awarded the Mighty Cross and the Guiding Cross. Congratulations to all of you for recognition of your devotion and loyalty to Legacy Realm and our allies and members! Thank you!
01-11-01: HAPPY NEW YEAR!! This year should bring the new expansion to Diablo 2 and is much anticipated by all of us to be sure. Congrats to our newest member, Raindamier! Welcome to Legacy Realm!! Belated congrats to "DUKE" Vinhj who has completed Diablo 2 in hardcore mode, in nightmare and normal levels of difficulty!! Quite an accomplishment :)) Some of our members were awarded medals last month (December) ... congratulations go out to: Buzz, PowerBar, Vinhj, Iron Maiden, Gem, Cyn, Fianna, and Ender. Congrats to Buzz, who was promoted to Table member .. a well deserved promotion! Have fun out there :)
9-25-00: Congrats to our newly promoted squires: Splatter, Mauso, Sin, Moonie and Jeed! :)) Congrats go to ZZ for becoming Legacy Realm's first Baron a few weeks ago. Also, achieving Baron/Baroness status are Cyn, Gem and Buzzzz! Woohooo :) The first ever LR gathering was a blast .. a good time was had by all (from what is remembered of the evening .. woo lotsa ale! :)) You can view a page of the outrageous antics at: Legacy@Rockola (if you're curious or very easily amused j/k) Can't believe we actually have a photographed record of this ... sheesh! what were we thinking?!? 8-30-00: Welcome to our three newest members: MoonDancer, Sin, and Jeel)een!! It is good to have you with us at LR! The first ever gathering of Legacy members is occuring this Saturday, September 2nd and will include such attendees as ... oh let's see ... Fianna, Buzzzz, Gem, Cyn (if I can pull myself away from the puter j/k), Splatter (Gem's hubby and designated driver hehe :)) and the Docster and his wife Page and whoever else shows up at the Rockola Cafe at 7:00 pm in Newport News, VA. This should be lots of fun. Warning: I, Cyn, just got a scanner muhuwahaha so expect some pics hopefully! OK, that's it .. everybody commence playing D2 ... nothing to see here hehe Seeya in the games! :)
7-25-00: Welcome back to Zxapheran a.k.a. LoseAllHope! Lose has resurfaced and is currently playing a barbarian ... leaping and howling at everything in sight hehe There is a Diablo II guide available for download at IGN.com. I took a look at the guide earlier today. It's quite lengthy (~206 pages) but it goes into sufficient detail about each of the classes in D2, each of the different Acts and their Bosses (many spoilers), the bestiary, etc. It's worth taking a look at if you're kinda bored =) That's it for now ... go kill some monsties!
7-20-00: Well, Diablo 2 has been out nearly a month now. Despite server problems, this game is completely awesome! Blizz is working on getting the Realm servers fixed and able to support the HUMONGOUS volume of people that have bought this game. Right now, the Realm situation is "iffy" but as of yesterday (7/19/00), the servers were being upgraded to support higher capacity (woohoo!!) Actually got on the East server and played for nearly 4 hours too .. it was quite shocking! So, there is hope that we will be able to play multiplayer on b.net without these connection problems very soon! Keep your fingers crossed =) In other news, the Alliance meetings are changing dates and times. Meetings will now be held on Mondays at 9 pm EST. To the applicants of Legacy Realm, please drop by the channel (clan legacyrealm) on b.net on Sundays at 6:00 pm ... we'll be looking for you!! Keep in touch & have fun out there!!
6-28-00: The countdown for Diablo 2 is underway! Retail stores should have copies in their hot little hands by 29/30 June! We should have it shortly thereafter depending upon the store and whether or not you pre-ordered your copy =) I must say, this is EXCRUCIATING! Hang in there ... we'll have it soon!
6-22-00: The Pages were added as the first rank Advisors website to the Member's Section. Check it out! Gem's the website admin for the webpage. Other news: the Stress Test for Diablo 2 is ending Monday, June 26th at 8 AM PST. Blizzard has asked that all Stress Testers log on to b.net on Friday, June 23rd so that they can test their servers to the limits! It's getting close ... yes!! :)
6-15-00: Lotsa news! The updated site has been uploaded to the domain. Some lucky folks in Legacy and our allied guilds have been stress testing D2 for almost a month now (between the new site and the ST, it's pretty easy to figure out why no news updates in a while =)) Diablo 2 has gone gold! Release date is estimated at 29/30 June. Can I get a WOOHOOOO!?!? Legacy Realm has begun holding REGULAR GUILD MEETINGS AGAIN on Sundays. Hope to see you there!! If you don't know our guild channel, please ask your rank Advisor or another member of Legacy. Please read over the new site regarding Ranks, Awards, Rules ... the information has changed drastically from the old site to the new .. so read it over carefully! :) Lastly, but not leastly, a big welcome to our newest members on the Pages list and to our returning members! WELCOME!!
